Völkischer Beobachter sold to the NSDAP

On 16 December 1920, the National Socialist German Workers’ Party (NSDAP) acquires the „Völkischer Beobachter“ for 120,000 marks. The newspaper, which will appear daily from 1923 on, will soon function as the most significant mouthpiece for the anti-democratic and anti-Semitic propaganda of the National Socialists.
