Background
September 1928

Mass rally of the NSDAP

On 30 September 1928 in Berlin’s Sports Palace the National Socialist German Workers’ Party (NSDAP) holds a mass rally in opposition to the Dawes Plan. The NSDAP, as well as other parties from the political right, reject the plan because of its designated restrictions in certain areas on the sovereignty of the German Reich. Even before the beginning of the event there are violent clashes between national socialists and communists.
